Vivaldi's Ring of Mystery Presented by Orchestra Miami

Orchestra Miami presents Vivaldi's Ring of Mystery, a theatrical concert about the life and music of Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi. Vivaldi's Ring of Mystery a compelling mystery about an orphan girl in the early 1700s who is in search of her roots. A central clue to the mystery is a missing Stradivarius violin that the Duke of Cremona has brought to Vivaldi’s school of the Pietá in the hopes of finding his long- lost grandchild. Orchestra Miami, led by Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi perform this intriguing tale which features more than 25 excerpts from Vivaldi’s most popular works, including the Four Seasons, the Violin Concerto in A minor, and the Guitar Concerto. The music is magically woven into the drama as two actors solve a mystery built around the historic context of the composer’s real life and his school of the Pietá. Vivaldi’s Ring of Mystery is "an imaginative way to introduce young audiences and their families to the life and music of Antonio Vivaldi in a live performance venue." The show stars Randy Garcia as Vivaldi/Giovanni and Raquel Lebish as Katarina, with stage direction by Ricky J. Martinez. This exciting concert and story performance is approximately 50 minutes; Recommended for age six and up. Juice & cookies served after the performance!

The 5th Annual Art, Blues & Soul Festival Presented by African Heritage Cultural Arts Center

The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center is presenting its fifth annual “Art, Blues & Soul Festival” during Art Basel Miami Beach weekend on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 3 p.m. The event, headlined this year by Grammy Award winning R&B and soul singer-songwriter Chrisette Michele, is an annual event that celebrates the arts, sounds, and flavors of Black Miami and will be held on the Center’s grounds at 6161 NW 22nd Avenue, Miami, at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Moonlight Way. Chrisette Michele, best known for her hits “Epiphany (I’m Leaving),” and “A Couple of Forevers,” will perform at the Festival’s mainstage, as well as R&B and soul artist Jon B, and R&B and soul singer Glenn Jones. Other performances by sensational Miami talent feature Courtney Mickens and The Harden Project. Guests will be entertained by dynamic hosts Chello (BET’s Comicview) and DJ Chico the Leo. Local artists will display thought-provoking visual art and vendors will offer delicious food and enticing products. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center merchandise will also be available for purchase. The Festival celebrates the rich history of the African Diaspora while providing an opportunity for local and national artists to share their music with the community. In 2020, the event was held virtually and streamed live on YouTube and Facebook. This year the Center grounds welcome back an in-person audience to enjoy the art and the music while the main campus and buildings finalize large scale renovations. Empire Wild Presented by SMDCAC

Empire Wild is a genre-bending, crossover trio founded by Ken Kubota, Brandon Ilaw, and Mitch Lyon. Ken and Mitch bring all the cello has to offer - bowed, plucked, chopped and more. Brandon can be found singing and playing anything he can get his hands on – often a cajon, sometimes a guitar or piano, maybe some ankle bells. All classically trained, the three musicians met at Juilliard and formed Empire Wild as a vehicle for their love of musical exploration - fusing the sounds of pop, folk, Broadway and more into their songwriting and composition. Their debut EP ‘Paper Seasons’ features all original songs, highlighting the trio’s unique sound and instrumentation. Based in NYC, they have brought their signature mix of original music, inventive covers and twists on the classical canon to audiences across the country.
