Beethoven in the Banyan Bowl Presented by Orchestra Miami

Orchestra Miami’s annual series of Free Outdoor Concerts continues featuring Beethoven’s Symphony N. 6 (Pastorale), Op. 68 in F Major, paired with one of the most famous violin concertos of all time, the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35 performed by renowned Chilean violinist Francisca Mendoza. Friday, March 13, 2019, 8 PM at Pinecrest Gardens, Saturday, March 14, 2018, 8 PM at the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach, and Sunday, March 15, 4 PM at Gateway Park in Sunny Isles Beach.

The Purple Palace Presented by Orchestra Miami

Orchestra Miami’s Nicklaus Children’s Pinecrest Urgent Care Center’s Family Fun Series concludes with The Purple Palace! In the land of Chromatika, all is color and light until Princess Purple decrees that everything should be purple! Learn about diversity, colors, democracy and tolerance in this beautiful and charming piece, with a story by Louise Gikow and music composed by Bruce Adolphe. Narrated by a special guest and accompanied by Orchestra Miami with Elaine Rinaldi conducting. Also on the program is the classic fairy tale, Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Daniel Dorff! The concert is on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 SW 57 Avenue, Pinecrest, FL 33156. The performance lasts about 1 hour and is appropriate for children of all ages. Learn about the art of opera as Orchestra Miami presents The Amazing Adventures of Alvin Allegretto: an opera by Bruce Adolphe & Sarah Schlesinger. In the town of Harmony, everybody sings... everybody, that is, except Alvin Allegretto. His parents take him to see one expert after another to find a cure for his strange condition but only Alvin, with the help of the audience, can find the answer. Mozart's Magnificent Voyage Presented by Orchestra Miami

Travel back in time with Mozart’s Magnificent Voyage! - A dramatic story, a little bit of history and the world's best-loved classical music set the scene for fun-filled musical adventures for all ages! This popular story in the Classical Kids series tells the story of the great composer Mozart’s young son, Karl, who longs to be taken from his boarding school to spend more time with his famous father. An old travelling trunk serves as a magic chest that reveals an incredible journey back in time to Mozart’s childhood and into the fantastic world of Mozart’s great opera The Magic Flute. Along the way, Karl comes to understand Mozart’s extraordinary life as a travelling prodigy, his pressures from family and fame, his passion for composing, and the common bonds they both share. DUO ALTO PLANO Presented by MIGF 2020

The 2020 Miami International GuitART Festival presents Duo Alto Plano with guitarist/composer Arthur Dente and his daughter flutist Valentine Dente in concert, performing original compositions for flute and guitar as well as solo guitar by Arthur Dente. Trained in classical music and improvisation, Dente’s compositions incorporate influences from various musical cultures, including Spanish, Celtic, North American, South American, Indian, and Arab-Andalusian. BENJAMIN VERDERY Presented by MIGF 2020

The 2020 Miami International GuitART Festival presents virtuoso guitarist and composer Benjamin Verdery in a solo concert, performing his own compositions as well as works by Martin Bresnick, J.S. Bach, Manuel de Falla, and Alonso Mudarra. In one of his own compositions “From Aristotle”, Mr. Verdery will be joined by special guest Mark Martin performing mixed vocals.
