Este panel, organizado en la Cuban Heritage Collection, que conserva el archivo administrativo del IEC, examinará la labor llevada a cabo por la organización durante más de 30 años y su legado para el campo de estudios cubanos contemporáneos. Este evento será presentado en español. El panel de discusión será seguido por una sesión de preguntas y respuestas con la audiencia.

The Hive Hangout X Dream Defenders is a monthly creative event for teens. Youth ages 12-18 are welcome to come and explore different creative outlets with access to creative equipment, supplies, and programming. This teen-focused environment will encourage them to create, connect, and collab. Their work during the time will be encouraged to focus on themes related to the Youth Peace Summit, where youth will showcase their work.

The Peking Acrobats mesmerize audiences the world over with their feats of agility, strength and precision. Their daring maneuvers atop a precarious pagoda of chairs, trick cycling, juggling, tumbling and nimble gymnastics keep crowds smiling, laughing and holding their breath. Their show transports timeless tradition to the 21st century through colorful ancient artistry, pushing the limits of human ability and defying gravity with amazing displays of contortion, flexibility and control. The Peking Acrobats create an experience that leaves spectators in awe.

Join the Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at MDC and the Kislak Center at the University of Miami for Kislak Talks with Dr. Miguel Valerio. The evening will begin with a welcome reception followed by a presentation by Dr. Miguel Valerio, renowned author and scholar of the African diaspora in the Iberian World. Dr Valerio will talk about his latest research focused on Black lay Catholic brotherhoods or confraternities and Afro-creole festival practices in colonial Latin America. He will also discuss his multi-award-winning and highly acclaimed book, Sovereign Joy: Afro-Mexican Kings and Queens, 1539-1640. Refreshments will be served. Visitors may pay to park using PayByPhone or a Pay Station to register their vehicles' license plates with the University of Miami's parking system.All parking lots and garages (except service and restricted spaces) are available for parking.A parking session is valid in any color zone and the vehicle can be moved between parking lots and garages without having to initiate a new parking session.
