The 2025–2026 season of CHOPIN for ALL continues with performances that spotlight today’s most exciting American pianists. These free concerts feature the timeless music of Chopin—performed by artists whose careers are gaining national and international attention.
In February, the Chopin Foundation welcomes Angie Zhang, 6th Prize winner of the 2025 National Chopin Piano Competition and finalist in the 2025 American Pianists Awards. A sought-after soloist, chamber musician, and fortepianist, Zhang brings both historical insight and contemporary creativity to the CHOPIN for ALL stage.
About Angie Zhang
American pianist and fortepianist Angie Zhang is the 6th Prize winner of the 2025 National Chopin Piano Competition and a finalist in the 2025 American Pianists Awards. She has also been recognized at major competitions including the International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments, Honens, and was a three-time winner of the Juilliard Concerto Competition.
Zhang has performed over 45 times as soloist with orchestras such as the Indianapolis Symphony, Juilliard Orchestra, Missouri Symphony, and the National Symphony Orchestra of the Dominican Republic, under conductors including Fabio Luisi, JoAnn Falletta, and Jeffrey Kahane. Equally active in solo, chamber, and historical performance, she has appeared at festivals including Bravo! Vail, Ravinia, La Jolla Music Society, and Music@Menlo. A graduate of The Juilliard School and the University of Michigan, she is known for her work in both modern and period instrument performance. Her recent two-disc Chopin recording on historical pianos was produced by the Polish National Institute of Frederic Chopin.
